Sujestions for the Alumni Website

Three suggestions.

First: Take the information from the old site and load it into the new site. There was plenty of information to contact old friends that I do not find on the new website unless they create a new account in the new website. This is a loss of a lot of information and it is a shame to toss it out because of a change in format.

Second: Make the searches for all workmates easier by allowing us to seach for people based on years and camp(s) worked. If this option is available, please share with me the instruction for doing so.

Third: If the information is still available in some form or another, would it be possible for the Alumni Website to post the names of the people that worked at each camp, separated by year. I have 100s, maybe a couple thousand, photos from my three years at the camp and I am starting to forget the names of the people I shared a drink at Mary's Lake, hiked Mummy Range, or repaired a frozen waterline with. I am investing the time and money to have the photos transfered to digital format and would love to tag them with the correct names if at all possible. The obvious benefit to the Y Alumni Association is these pictures will be shared with them with the correct information. I know this would be a lot of work but it would be perfect as an intern project or a project for a skilled staffer during the winter season.

Thanks for your suggestions.
First, the information from the old site is not in the same format and I am told can't be switched over. I am still trying to find where it is archived, but no one seems to be able to help.I will continue to persue this.
We are currently working on a project so you can search for registered users. it is a huge undertaking and will take several months. You can go to the alumni web site and go to the alumni year and click on the roster. Registered users will apear in green. Click on the person and it will take you to their information. Non registered persons will be directed to the registration page.
So you see that we have rosters from all years that we have and they are on the web site. Hopefully that will help you remember names for your photos.
I wish I could make all this happen over night! Not too patient! The next Words to the Ys will go to the printer today. Look for it soon.
