YMCA of the Rockies Alumni Association Website Users’ Agreement

Welcome to the YMCA of the Rockies Alumni Association! The Alumni Association website is owned and operated by the YMCA of the Rockies. By accessing or joining the Alumni Association and registering on the website, you are agreeing to the following User’s Agreement. Please review the User’s Agreement as it is a binding agreement between you and the YMCA of the Rockies. The YMCA of the Rockies may occasionally revise the User’s Agreement, we encourage you to periodically check this agreement for changes. The YMCA of the Rockies Alumni Association website is intended solely for access and use by current and former staff and volunteers of the YMCA of the Rockies who retired or left employment in good standing. The staff of the YMCA of the Rockies will review all Alumni Association members’ applications and website registrations to determine eligibility. As its sole discretion, the YMCA of the Rockies may prohibit any person(s) from joining and return their membership fee.

Usernames and Passwords: You are responsible for activity and content posted under your username. Registered users of the YMCA of the Rockies Alumni Association website agree not to share their username and password with anyone. Sharing of username and password can result in suspension or termination of website privileges. You will immediately notify the YMCA of the Rockies if they believe someone is using your username and password.

Communications: The YMCA of the Rockies will periodically communicate with registered users via email. Some filtering and spam blocking software as well as email systems may prevent you from receiving emails from the YMCA of the Rockies. We are in no way responsible for delivery of these emails.

Standards of Conduct: The Alumni Association and website are an extension of the YMCA of the Rockies. While you are ultimately governed by the Users’ Agreement, your conduct should also reflect the Core Values of the YMCA of the Rockies: Caring, Honesty, Respect Responsibility and Faith.

You are responsible for content of your Personal Profiles and Alumni Forum postings. The staff of the YMCA of the Rockies and Alumni Association volunteers actively monitor Alumni Association Forums; however, we do not review Personal Profile content. You are encouraged to report content you find objectionable. The YMCA of the Rockies will investigate and take appropriate action. Since situations and interpretation vary, the YMCA of the Rockies will take action when we believe it is appropriate including no action, warnings and suspensions or termination of user rights. Under no circumstances will the YMCA of the Rockies be liable in any way for Personal Profile or Alumni Association Forum content including any loss or damage of any kind as a result of access or use of any content of the Alumni Association website.

The YMCA of the Rockies encourages members to engage in lively discussions through the Alumni Forum. Members may not post content that is disparaging to the YMCA of the Rockies, current or former staff or volunteers. Postings may not be offensive, vulgar, antagonistic to others, “baiting” or encourage conflict. Use of characters to mask profanity and expletives is strictly prohibited. Postings may not include references to race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sex or anti-social comments that would offend readers. You may not use this website for any commercial purposes or personal gain. You will not post any content that violates any applicable local, state, federal or international laws or regulations or encourages others to do so. Users may not knowingly post or transmit sexually explicit material or transmit any file that contains computer viruses or content that is destructive to this website. Members should refrain from posting their email addresses, telephone numbers or street addresses in Alumni Forums as this may encourage contact from persons outside of the Alumni Association community.

Members breaking these specific Alumni Association Forum rules are subject to measures outlined in Standards of Conduct.

Linking to the Alumni Association Website: You may not link to the Alumni Association website without the express written permission of the YMCA of the Rockies. Users may transmit either in writing or in email links to this site to fellow alumni or other parties that may find this website of interest.

Visitors to this site may download information for personal non-commercial use only. Privacy Policy: When you join the YMCA of the Rockies Alumni Association, you are required to provide us with certain personal information including your name, maiden name (if applicable), mailing address, telephone number and email address. To verify eligibility to join the Alumni Association and register on the Alumni website, you are also required to furnish us with dates of employment and whether you worked at Estes Park Center, Snow Mountain Ranch or Camp Chief Ouray. When you provide us with your contact information, you are agreeing to allow the YMCA of the Rockies to contact you via printed media, email or telephone.
By joining the Alumni Association and registering on this website you agree to allow other registered users to contact you through a double blind email system. The YMCA of the Rockies will not sell, lease or otherwise distribute or disclose your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, other personal data or financial information with anyone outside the YMCA of the Rockies.

The YMCA of the Rockies will never provide any information about its alumni to any government agency, whether local, state or federal without an order from the court of appropriate jurisdiction. If a subpoena or search warrant is received asking for you personal information, the YMCA of the Rockies will consult with it legal counsel to determine if there is a valid reason to release the information.

Indemnity and Limitation of Liability: You agree to indemnify and hold The YMCA of the Rockies (and its officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives) harmless against all claims, liabilities, losses, penalties, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of these Terms and Conditions of Use.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE, SHALL THE YMCA OF THE ROCKIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT RESULT FROM THE USE OF, OR THE INABILITY TO USE, THE MATERIALS IN THIS SITE. APPLICABLE LAW MAY NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY OR DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
